Woman astronaut of the US space agency NASA (Megan McArthur) will be the pilot of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program Space X Mission. Megan’s husband and NASA astronaut Bob Behnken has recently returned from a SpaceX Crew Dragon Spacecraft mission. This historic test flight took NASA astronauts on 30 May, which has returned to Earth this week. Now Megan McArthur will be the pilot of the mission launch on the second commercial mission of NASA going to the year 2021. Megan met her husband Bob in 2000 while working at NASA. Now both have a six-year-old son. NASA has also confirmed that Megan will serve as the mission’s pilot. On this mission, astronaut Shane Kimbrat, along with Megan, will command the next mission in SpaceX. He will be joined by Akihiko Hoshide of Japan (JAPAN) and Thomas Pesquet, an ESA astronaut.
Prior to this, Megan went on a space mission in 2009 as the chief mission specialist for the launch of the last Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission STS-125. Megan spent a total of 13 days in space during that time. In 2019, he was also appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Astronaut Office. SpaceX Crew-2 will be Megan’s second space trip and the first on the International Space Station. Bob and Megan would be the first astronauts in the world to transport and carry passengers from Elon Musk’s Space X Dragon orbit to the space station. They are also the first spouses in the world to fly from Cape Canaveral Space Station in 2011. Megan joined NASA in 2000. Megan has just started training for the mission going next year.
